As the Corporate Counsel, Business Development/Web Services, you will be a transactional attorney working with key members of our Merchant Services, Web Services, and Business Development business teams. You will partner with the business to structure, draft and negotiate strategic, enterprise and platform technology agreements, provide and manage support for sales and advertising programs, and assist the business with product development initiatives. The role also provides global coordination of legal and business issues, provides day-to-day business and intellectual property law counseling, identifies opportunities for and implements process improvements, administers and resolves legal issues that arise in existing relationships; handles pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries, and manages outside counsel. Qualified candidates must have:Transactional and technology-related experience with a minimum of 3+ years legal experience required (with at least 2 years at a law firm)J.D. degree and be a member of at least one state bar (preferably Washington).In-house experience at a technology or internet company a plus.The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
